What an inspiring two days!

The IEEE Sensors Council Workshop "Smart and Sustainable Sensing Systems: From Materials to Intelligent Deployment", held on July 9–10, 2026, at EST Tétouan, Abdelmalek Essaâdi University, was a remarkable success.

The workshop brought together researchers, academics, industry professionals, IEEE volunteers, and members of the sensors community to exchange knowledge, foster collaboration, and explore the latest advances in smart and sustainable sensing technologies.

This event was successfully organized under the leadership of Prof. Lobna A. Said (General Chair) and Prof. Aboubakr El Hammoumi (Local Chair), whose coordination and commitment, together with the dedicated organizing committee and volunteers, contributed significantly to the success of the workshop.

Beyond the technical sessions, the workshop strengthened international collaboration, promoted regional engagement within the IEEE Sensors community, and created valuable opportunities for future research partnerships.
